Step 2: Content Delivery Network (CDN) Installation

Purpose: A CDN accelerates content delivery by serving your site’s assets from servers closest to each visitor.

When choosing between Cloudflare and ShortPixel CDN for your website, consider your needs and access. Cloudflare offers additional benefits like enhanced security features (DDoS protection, firewall rules) and SSL management, making it ideal if you want an all-in-one solution for performance and security. However, it requires access to your DNS settings for setup, which may not always be possible.

On the other hand, ShortPixel CDN is faster and simpler to implement, focusing on serving optimized images and static files quickly without the need for DNS changes. It’s an excellent choice if you’re primarily looking to speed up content delivery without adjusting your domain settings.

Option 1: Cloudflare CDN Setup

  1. Account Creation: Set up or configure your Cloudflare account.
  2. DNS Management: Move your domain’s Name Servers to Cloudflare.
  3. DNS Records Configuration: Ensure DNS records are correctly set.

Configuring Cloudflare Settings:

  • Cache Settings: Optimize for faster load times.
  • SSL/TLS Configuration: Set up secure connections.
  • Security Settings: Enable DDoS protection and firewall rules.

Installing Cloudflare Plugin for WordPress:

  • Plugin Installation: Install the Cloudflare plugin.
  • Plugin Configuration: Connect and enable features.
